Once their Alex was exposed to monster that truly make him want death more then anything. However something inside him Kepts him steady. Now him and a couple of friends try to escape this nightmare but somethings were made to stay underground. ” Beneath Heaven there is Hell, beneath hell there is Furnace”. This is a story that you must read.

As a member of a prep school gang, Nick gets himself into all kinds immature, childish situations. Also heavy drug use and constant smoking will definitely change him. Since he has left the gang, Nick has stayed out of trouble but soon the love of his life’s little brother wants to become a gang member. Should he save him from the dangers of the streets or should he just sit back, relax and let the situation take its course.

Hugo Cabret is a young orphan, that is only trying to stay alive. He lives alone in a clock tower at a train station in Paris. He steals because he’s hungry, and also handles his dads old job, to so that no one will know its just Hugo living alone. He is a genius and an adventurer like no other. Isabelle, a girl that will be hugo’s best friend and partner in crime, and her step father own a small toy booth. The old man is z mean and quite scary, but also has a bright side and
a big secret. Hugo also has a mechanical man that his dad once found in museum attic, and no one knows how it got there. A shocking surprise brings the young boy and girl even closer together, while taking both on a journey and story that they didn’t know was possible.
The way the mr. Selznick uses his amazing drawings in the most incredible ways, makes the whole story that much better. The inventions of Hugo Cabret and its amazing main character, will take you on a wild journey, that has also been made into a movie. I highly suggest this novel to everyone and anyone that is looking to say “wow.” It’s a relatively short read, but one filled with a bunch of action.

The book mocking Jay is the third book of the epic series, The Hunger Games. This thrilling series is written by Suzanne Collins. The hunger games is about a girl named Katniss who fights for her life. Before any of the fighting started, it went like this. Katniss’s dad died in a mine accident, her mom is helpless, and her sister Prim is one of the only people that she cares about. On reaping day, (the day that a boy and a girl are selected to go fight for their lives in a place that the government sets up) Katniss’s sister Prim was selected, but Katniss volunteered for her. District Twelve is now at war with the Capitol and they are outnumbered. Everything is going smooth but then something Tragic happens to Prim. Katniss loses all hope and District Twelve knows that they cannot win without her. To find out what happens, read the book.

The Mark of Athena is the third installment in the Heroes of Olympus series by Rick Riordan. The book follows the lives of seven demigods Percy(son of Poseidon), Annabeth( daughter of Athena), Jason(son of Jupiter), Piper(daughter of Aphrodite), Leo(son of Hephaestus), Hazel(daughter of Pluto) and Frank(son of Mars). They are a group chosen by Hera to go to the Doors of Death and the stop the giant amy from overthrowing the Olympian Gods. While on their quest they must try to reunite the Roman and Greek demigods, which Annabeth only knows the secret how to. The book is adventurous and funny. I recommend it to anyone who likes ancient Greece and Rome history.

To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee is a book about a rebellious tomboy named Scout, and her adventures with her older brother Jem. The book focuses on their adventures through school and the outside world. They learn about what it was like to be an African American in the early forties, and how you were hated just because of the color of your skin. They learn anger and sorrow, suffering and pain, as well as happiness and joy. Equality, prejudice and empathy are themes that show up many times in this book mainly by their father Atticus who is a very respected man in their town and Calpurnia the housekeeper that is like a mother to them.

This suspenseful story is about a Saint Bernard named Buck. Buck is used to living in beautiful California weather, living on a ranch with his owner, Judge Miller. This is all about to change for Buck, when he is captured by a mysterious man named Manuel, and he is sold into the Yukon. Buck is forced to adapt to his new surroundings, including the weather, and try to make it in the wild. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a book with a lot of action and suspense. I enjoyed reading this book, and couldn’t put it down once I started reading.

He will need to challenge the pirate one-on-one, knowing only one of them will survive.
This book is the third book in a series, and for you to understand all of it you have to read the rest of the books. Written by John Flanagan, It is an adventure book and has a lot of action and fighting in it. I would recommend also to read John Flanagans other series, The Rangers Apprentice. I would reccommend this book to anyone looking for a good read, especially if you have the time. To get the whole feeling of the book, I reccommend reading it in chapters or large chunks. Definitely one of my favorite books.

This book is about an African American family called the Logan family. This book takes place during the 1940’s when our nation struggled with racism. The Logan family works hard to keep their land, but there are many obstacles to avoid. A white family named the Wallace family are trying to cause trouble for the Logan family. Papa, the father of the Logan family, is always gone, but had finally come home and he brought someone with him. A big, strong man who goes by the name of L.T. L.T. is put in charge to guard the house and family from any danger. On the other hand, Cassie, the daughter, is being bullied and beat up by the white students that ride a school bus every day. T.J. is a boy who was a friend to the Logan family, but then he ended up being a trouble maker. T.J. will later learn his lesson. I would recommend this book to any body who likes books that mentally “pull you in” as you get into it. This book was full of excitement and surprise.
