On most farms, everything seems calm, and the animals seem happy. The farmer takes care of the animals, and the animals live in peace. But this is not true on every farm. On Animal Farm, the exact opposite occurs. Instead of the farmer having control, the animals have control over the farm. This all started when one of the pigs announced to the rest of the animals that he was tired of being stuck in a pen for his entire life. He wanted to show the farmer how much they suffer, and that they can rule the farm. A whisper of rage spread through the farm, and the animals decided to pull the trigger. They succeeded, and took control of the farm.
Although power is exhilarating, it comes with consequences. Rules were established to prevent fighting, but the rules were not all fair. Animals were angry, and ended up fighting with one another. The animals learn many lessons and realize that they did not think their plan through enough. This book tells the story of a rebellion, the consequences it comes with, and the troubles that too much power can cause.
